Whether you intend to work as a nurse or a caregiver in Japan, you have to read, write and speak Nihongo (Japanese) because Filipino nurses/caregivers are required to pass the board exams in Japanese In order to pass the board exams, it is said that more or less you must be fluent in Japanese enough to pass the "Japanese Language Proficient Test Level-2". According to the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services which conducts the Test, you need to memorize 600 Kanji (Chinese characters) and 1,000 words, and it usually takes around 600 hours of study to pass the Test Level-2. |
